Education. What do I think of education? I think that the way that most American schools deal with education isn’t the best way. Most schools give you WAY to much information and then expect you to regurgitate it when the test comes and never makes you really remember what it is that they just forced you to learn. All state tests do is create stress and make students think that it’s going to be the end of the world if they don’t pass them. I don’t think that something that you learned freshman year should be expected to be remembered for 2 years all just to take a test which if you fail you cant graduate how fair is that that one test can ruin your entire life. And yes you can take it again but what is going to change what if you still fail what does that prove that the big law makers can hold graduation over your head and make you feel like crap for 4 years for a piece of paper. I think that this is also the reason for the high drop out rates in our country if they didn’t give us so many hurtles to jump over people wouldn’t give up so easily. I’m not saying that we should not have standards but there should be other options than do this and if you don’t you fail at life.
